Digital Instruments has answered the call, developing its own state-of-the-art web tension monitoring system, the Accu-Length Stretch-Length Monitor (SLM). Digital's SLM helps forms and label press operators accurately determine the proper stretch length while the press is in operation at speeds up to 1,500 feet per minute. Operating with the Accu-Length system insures a finished collated product with precise registration for forms and labels. ROI for this product is less than three months in a typical printing operation.
Digital has also developed a Repeat Length Monitor (RLM) to accurately measure repeat length while the press is in full operation. Digital’s RLM monitor allows the operator to switch between different screens and menu driven set-up parameters for accurate readings and the ability to alarm when outside of its set range.
Both units are compatible with existing press equipment, making the installation process simple and have data logging capabilities.
